Once upon a time, seemingly a lifetime ago (2022) I lived in a little house in the woods, at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. There was a path in the back that led to an old building, I think it used to be an Apple House. (Ellijay tings.) Along the path there were so many different mosses & lichens & mushrooms, which I spent a lot of time with. In my observation, this mossy tree seemed to be the elder (mother) of this area.
